Holly back in form after break

Sunday, October 9, 2011

While her friends on tour were all trooping over to Ireland to watch our Solheim heroes bring home the trophy, Holly was forced to stay home to see a specialist for her hip injury.

A lot of off-course work and a bit of practice certainly paid dividends as Holly posted two solid rounds of 1 under par each to lie =8th at the cut stage of the Sicilian Ladies Open.

A disrupted start to her final round saw Holly drop 6 shots in the first 7 holes, but she regrouped during the rain delay and hit back with birdies on 10 and 11, rallying to finish 2 over par, and in a tie for 13th place.

Holly is now taking a couple of weeks out focussing on getting back to 100% fitness and working on her game before heading out to India and the Hero Honda Ladies Open, where she recorded her first ever top 10 finish last year.
